What is the Sacred Space ?

The Sacred Space is all about finding the teacher who

lives inside. After practising yoga for over twelve years, and teaching yoga in my community for a decade, I have learned that we contain all the answers, knowledge and wisdom that we seek externally.

I have created this Sacred Space to completely support, hold and empower you in finding your own voice, inner wisdom, true essence and the freedom to express it. Welcome home!

I offer a safe, honest and fun space to explore and embody your true nature to share with the world.

My teaching style, influences & inspirations...

Nature is my biggest inspiration. Coming into alignment with Nature’s rhythms and attuning our bodies to her cycles play a prominent role in my teachings. We regularly acknowledge shifts in the seasons to connect and find harmony between our inner and outer worlds. We observe the cycles of the Sun and Moon, recognising how they affect our energy, as well as exploring and working with the qualities of the four elements.

The style of yoga I teach can be described as creative, slow and strength-building sequencing, often put together like a story to hold and support the theme of the session. This truly embodies and brings the practice alive.

I put much emphasis on the importance of breathing and listening to the boundaries of the body, while simultaneously cultivating freedom and self-expression in movement.

Over the years I have spent a lot of time in India, dedicating my life to the path of Yoga in traditional schools and ashrams. This ancient practice, its influence, and my loving respect for India shine through me, although my learnings and teachings have broadened over recent years to move to a more authentic offering.

My own unique style as a yoga teacher combines  a mix of traditional practices and self-care techniques. I weave the sacredness of a ceremonial space and ancient philosophies of yoga into practical guidance around navigating boundaries and strengthening self-love, empowering my students to live more truthfully in their own resilience

I advocate for rest and stillness alongside movement and connection. My teachings include Yin and Restorative practices, and Yoga Nidra which aid in stress relief and managing anxiety. These practices inform my teachings to support emotional balance and regulate the nervous system.

How can it help ?

Yoga can enrich our lives. Intuition, reasoning and self-understanding will be improved, and a sense of harmony and wisdom will grow.

Our bodies become stronger and more supple, helping us to develop greater stamina and endurance. Emotional blockages start to shift, most commonly in the hips & around the heart centre. Benefits of yoga include:

  • Strengthening  self trust and confidence

  • Managing mental health

  • Improved fitness

  • Self Care

  • Maintenance of vital organs

  • Improved flexibility

  • Injury prevention

  • Connection to self

Yoga Testimonials...

I have been practicing with Holly for almost 6 years. I had not practiced yoga before I met Holly, prior to going to my first class I remember worrying that I wouldn’t be able to do any of the moves and that I wasn’t flexible enough. Holly instantly eased this idea when she began the class.

I remember Holly reminding her students to listen in to their body and honour wherever they were - both emotionally and physically, and that there was never any expectation from her. This was all I needed to hear, and I have been listening to her and learning with her ever since.

Holly's classes and workshops embody the idea that yoga is a way of life, there is no separation between on and off the mat, it is a way of being. The things I have discovered about myself on the mat have guided me in my life outside of class, this has been transformative for me.

Hollys classes are playful, organic and experiential, they encourage self acceptance and self enquiry, and above all they teach you the beauty of staying curious.

Holly is a passionate, open, loving and kind teacher who I believe has connected so many people by creating classes that reflect her truths. I would not be the woman I am today without her teachings and for that I will be forever grateful.

Tanita

I have been practising yoga with Holly for 8 years now. When I first went to Holly’s classes, I didn’t know much about yoga but it was something I wanted to try.

I can only describe my experience learning from Holly as life changing. She is an incredibly warm, welcoming and knowledgeable person. Through her classes, workshops and retreats I have learnt so much about yoga - both in terms of the physical practice, but also the philosophy of yoga on and off the mat. This has been a great help to me, particularly during times of stress and uncertainty.

The space Holly creates in her classes is a refuge - a place to relax, to work out physical tension that comes from sitting at a desk all day, to process any difficult or stressful situations, and to do something a bit different and have some fun.

I love how Holly encourages creativity, playfulness and total awareness of what our minds and bodies need. This, combined with her innate sense of kindness and compassion and her obvious passion for teaching yoga, is what sets Holly apart. I can’t recommend Holly’s teaching enough.

Marissa

Holly has been guiding my yoga journey for five years or so- every practise has such rich & deep wisdom which i'm so grateful for! She creates a sacred space where i feel safe to be in my body and feel held by her patience and spirit. Holly has helped me find that place of inner strength in the most gentle, honest yet powerful of ways- her offerings are a true gift.

I love how each class is so in tune with nature's currents and it helps me stay aligned with the changing of the seasons, and the changes in my own body. I have come to love my emotional tides as part of the ebbs and flows of life and being in the sacred space that Holly holds reminds me that I am part of the collective.

I love how creative her classes are, playful and meditative at the same time, and truly authentic to Holly's sweet and compassionate nature. Thank you Holly!

What is Cacao and what happens in a ceremony ?

Cacao is an indigenous plant medicine with roots originally from South and Central America, it was held in ceremony by the Mayans to commune with the spiritual realm, ancestors and with each other, Cacao is a spirit and allie, she brings people together, opens the heart, invites a softness and understanding into our inner world.

There are many health benefits, Cacao is packed full of nutrients, minerals and antioxidants aiding a healthy heart, recovery of muscles and joints and better brain functioning.

Ceremony is time and space that has been created

consciously to invite meaning and understanding

to honour, to let go, to empower, celebrate or manifest.

Ceremony creates space for our intentions, our communication and hearts, to be able to listen more deeply, it brings people together in common purpose.

Ceremony is a container for the present moment, it is a gateway into different dimensions of our consciousness, it brings us in connection with our guides, it is a portal into change.

Creating ceremony with the Spirit of Cacao is a truly magical, loving and connected experience.

Cacao Ceremony testimonials..

To enter this space is to enter love, the space Holly creates is one of nurture, time and care, with candles dimly flickering, flower offerings and a warm hug.

I instantly felt a sense of security and home which allowed me to go deep into my experience and stay there knowing I was in a space of support.

It was a joy to hear other women's voices around the circle and to feel ok to share my truth, no matter what, an unconditional sense of acceptance.

Holly is the anchor, holding it all together with openness and gentle reassurance.

It's an escape into something deeper, a retreat from the busy world and a calling to connect to ourselves and others. I had an amazing journey.

I came away feeling lighter, more open and relived

after an emotional clearing, feeling safe, liberated and connected, this is what we all crave the most I think.

As a teacher and guide Holly offers up a beautiful scared space for us to find that community sanctuary, helping us to tap into our truth and express ourselves fully.

Alex

The circle was like absolute medicine to me, although I know Holly I didn't know anyone else there I felt totally at ease and welcome, heard and held.

The whole experience felt so natural and authentic with no pressure to share but the space to do so if felt, any participation was met with love and acceptance.

The whole experience felt so special and ancient and wise and these feelings stayed with me and supported me since.

Kate

I went to Hollys cacoa ceremony, I really loved the experience. Holly opened the space so beautifully and it enabled such a sense of ease that lead to a safe feeling to share and listen, I feel grateful to be able to experience sitting in a group of women of all ages sharing and talking together.
